IDEAMATICS is the driving force behind the Navy’s world-wide manpower mobilization system. This system, the Navy/Marine Corps Mobilization Processing System (NMCMPS), won the Navy CIO 2009 System Innovation Award for the mobilization of individual manpower in support of national contingencies. Likewise, IDEAMATICS is the U.S. Coast Guard’s key contractor for its new disaster response mobilization system. Initially used in response to Hurricanes Ike and Gustav, this system allowed rapid identification of required manpower skills and provided accurate response metrics and reports. This system won the Government Security News’ 2009 award for Most Significant Information-Sharing Program, and has been instrumental in the responses to the Haiti Earthquake and the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill.
